Hi Tina, this article resonates with me. It's very relatable. I think I'm experiencing four types of tired, simultaneously. Sheesh! That may explain why I'm bogged down. Immense thanks!
Thank you for this edifying article! Much needed for the weary. "I'm tired" is one of the top thoughts I hear from my clients. Exhaustion IS just information! It's beautiful to witness them getting to the root of the exhaustion and experiencing a transformation without changing their workload. And surprisingly, having more capacity with the same workload. This article was great!
Thank you for reading and sharing about your clients. It's interesting when we can get to the 'root' of any concern, what gets exposed. I agree, this subject seems to come up in many conversations. Thank you for the work you do in helping them to get beyond the exhaustion.
Thank you, Tina, for these distinctions. So very helpful! I would love to share with my own coaching clients and in teaching. Did you identify these types or did you incorporate from somewhere else? I'd like to give credit where credit is due. It gives language to what I think we all know is true but haven't named specifically. This is very helpful!
Hi Anita and thank you so much for reading my article. Your comment just made my whole day! Thank you so much for asking, because I want to be transparent about this.
The 7 Faces of Exhaustion™ is a framework I developed through my own journey and over 35 years of walking alongside women of faith.
If you're familiar with Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith's work on the 7 types of rest in her book Sacred Rest, you'll notice some shared territory since we're both exploring the idea that "tired" isn't one-size-fits-all. Her work focuses on the types of rest we need.
My framework focuses on identifying the types of exhaustion we're carrying and applying a faith-based, Scripture-rooted lens to help women name what's really going on beneath the surface.
I'd be honored to have you share it! If you'd credit it as "The 7 Faces of Exhaustion™ framework by Tina Coleman, Joy God's Way (joygodsway.com)," that would be wonderful.

Thank you Anita. That means a lot to me after I stepped out on faith. More to come💛
